About the Role:

The Senior Product Manager role is an opportunity to own a major foundational product area within the Firsthand platform, with full accountability from strategy to execution. Your work will directly impact the experience of peers, social workers, and other front line clinicians while impacting the care of individuals left behind by the healthcare system at a time when they need help the most. 

Reporting to the VP of Product, this critical role will be responsible for defining a platform from scratch that will be the foundation of our scalability. This individual will also coordinate overall solutioning of data, clinical, and workflow vendors that scale and support success KPIs for patient pathways. The impact, experience, and professional growth over the next few years will be unmatched in healthcare.

This is an opportunity to define, launch, and own a major part of a new data platform that drives advanced patient analytics, stratification, and workflows at scale. 

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily guidance to a cross functional team of business operations and clinical leaders to plan and clearly understand short-term deliverables, while defining and executing on a medium- to long-term roadmap that enables success for population health teams
  • Triage, prioritize, and make tradeoffs, balancing competing needs and interests for a soon to be launched offering
  • Define requirements not limited to: mapping workflows;  writing epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria  
  • Scope, define, and lead feature development that facilitate workflows between the Firsthand tech stack and and payer/provider third party systems.
  • Define, implement, and maintain 3rd party tools to accelerate our build
  • Define requirements for 3rd party data sources and help get data in house

Signs of a Good Fit:

  • Product management experience in an enterprise setting, particularly on a healthcare technology enabled services product. Experience working directly with client stakeholders and clinical teams is required
  • Experience with high volume data systems and work in a regulated environment
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficiency in agile development processes
  • Very strong critical thinking and analysis skills. Ability to break down an ambiguous problem, use data-informed brainstorming, identify goals and clear metrics, and design services or technology solution hypotheses
  • Desire to partner with design and experience working within a design first process, running experiments, and iterating on ideas to benefit end users. 
  • Passion for serving complex high needs individuals and the healthcare staff that support them 
  • Experience with population health, care coordination, or case management platforms is a plus

Your Experience:

  • At least 5 years of overall experience in product management, with a clear record of successful delivery and impact in collaboration with a healthcare services or population health team
  • Prior experience building and shipping software or systems integrations
  • Healthcare domain experience.  Direct experience working with patients and/or providers is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM, finance, economics, or other related field
