ABOUT THE ROLE

In this role, you will build the teams, processes, and infrastructure to serve patients in brand new markets, as well as support expansion in current markets to ensure successful launches within contractual timelines. You will be a steward for Galileo culture and our relentless patient focus, seeding each new market and team with the practices and ethos to deliver exceptional care and patient outcomes. As a senior leader in the Delivery business, you will work closely with cross-functional teams and leaders throughout Galileo and with our partners to shape sustainable, replicable systems and processes to support growth.  

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Build and own the New Market Launch Function
    • Improve and build on the cross-functional playbook to guide new Delivery market launches, from pre-contract to live patient care, in a coordinated and scalable way.
    • Over time, incorporate learning from new market/partner launches to refine the architecture and process for the new partner/market launch function and build the market launch team for scale
    • Identify and partner with corporate function department leaders to develop department-specific capabilities and processes to support market launch scalability--BD/Partnerships, Finance, Central Ops, Marketing, People, Data, Legal, Compliance, and Product.
  • Own and execute New Market launches
    • Hire and train the Local Market Leader and the regional leader and, depending on timing, first few non-clinical team members to seed team (e.g. local ops manager, patient support, etc.)
    • Work with New Market Clinical Lead to ensure timely hire and training of clinical care team members
    • Ramp up local teams in new markets, leading teams as a player-coach to actively foster early connections to broader Galileo organization, ensure core Galileo DNA is propagated, establish gold standard SOPs, and connect market into corporate resources and processes.
    • Secure any needed real estate, mobile units, vehicles, initial inventory and equipment, etc. to enable for early patient care
    • Set up and lead internal/external cross-functional launch execution meetings, and connect new market team into corporate processes and support
  • Support market expansion in existing regions
    • Work with Regional Market Lead to support expansion to new markets within region, supporting use of the playbook, connection to appropriate cross-functional teams and processes, and guidance on best practices learned from other markets
    • Provide operational support and expertise to stand up new partnerships and channels to layer into existing markets, as needed
  • Support new partnership launches
    • Work with Partnerships team in a supportive role to launch contract implementation with new payers
    • Provide implementation/ops lens to inform dialogue with new partners on timeline and process to stand up teams, processes, and infrastructure to meet new payer requirements

ABOUT YOU

You are a leader with a deep understanding of healthcare operations and care delivery and love to mobilize and inspire cross-functional teams to accomplish big goals. You thrive on building and leveraging great relationships internally as well as externally. You effortlessly translate information across teams and proactively communicate to bring your partners along and gain alignment. You are energized by greenfield opportunities, drawing on existing resources and institutional know-how to build de novo operations in new markets with new partners.

We would love to hear from you if you have the following or equivalent experience:

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in market/field operations, with a minimum of 5 years of healthcare leadership experience
  • Experience managing and growing a large practice, a service line, or a business unit at a provider organization
  • Proven track record of building and managing high performing teams, and comfort interfacing with clinical and non-clinical team members
  • History of successfully managing and cultivating key external relationships to advance joint goals and projects
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a lean and fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects in parallel and prioritizing competing demands autonomously
  • Experience working in a cross-functional and matrixed environment, influencing and collaborating with individuals from a range of business functions to achieve a business objective
  • Familiarity with value-based care arrangements and key operational implications--including required processes, people, and infrastructure-- to deliver on clinical care, social care and navigation, population health, and administration and reporting.
  • Business development, partnerships, and strategy experience are a plus.
